The Witches

Once upon a time there were two evil witches named Regina and Rosealder. They lived in a dark castle with evil spells around every corner you turned. One night when the full moon was out they were making the baddest potion in the world. It was to make the entire world turn dark.

A little girl named luna heard the witches plan and she knew just who to go to. She went to the light queen. The light queen said the only way you could fix it was with your heart. The queen gave luna a white crystal when luna walked out of there she was confused how could she fix it with her heart?

The next day the two witches saw the crystal in luna’s hand. They rushed out the door to snatch the it off luna but what they all did not know was that the crystal was the most powerful thing in the world. The witches refused to give it back…

When the witches went to bed the crystal was making a weird sound. They did not bother to do anything about it so the witches just went to bed. The crystal was getting louder and louder. The witches woke up. They could not stand the noise so they covered their ears.

The witches tried to use their power on the crystal to make the noise stop but it did not work. The crystal was draining their power. Once the crystal had done it’s job it stopped. All the witches power was gone. Luna and the crystal did it.

Luna rushed to the light queen’s castle because the crystal had vanished.

The light queen said it vanished because she did not need it any more. Luna was amazed she did it.
She saved the world from eternal darkness.

Middle School Swimming Carnival

It was a warm Friday morning on the 28th of February. A good day for a Middle School Swimming Carnival. The swimming carnival was for Years 3 and 4.

I was worried I would lose, but then I remembered it wasn’t about winning. When the bell rang after morning tea I sprang into action. I grabbed my towel and goggles and went to line up in my group. My group was A2. I was with my friend Chris.

The first event was freestyle. My group was first. For me to swim faster I imagined there were sharks chasing me. I came first. The 2nd event was backstroke. Unfortunately I came 4th, it was still pretty good. The last  event was dolphin kick. I came 3rd.Well it wasn’t what I expected.

It was a splendid day. I cant wait for next year’s Senior School Swimming Carnival!

The Dragon Who Ate Room 8

Once upon a time there was a dragon who lived in the center of the Earth. The dragon was hungry so he decided to go to the Earth's surface to eat and collect some people for his master. When the dragon went up to earth he gulped up Room 8! Luckily no one was inside because it was lunchtime and Mr Tucker was on duty.

When the bell rang we ran into nothing but air! So we asked Mr Tucker where it was but no one knew. Then I phoned the police and they came over and investigated. They saw footprints then they saw a tiny swirling hole. Inside were some colours. I can't tell you because there were some colours I didn't know!

The next morning I went to see the hole. It was as big as a DOOR! I quickly ran into the office and told them what's wrong. The police came and one accidentally dropped a school tennis ball in the hole. Then a burst of fire, lava and smoke exploded.  a dragon came up and said, “CURSE YOU!” Then he threw a house at us. It crashed into room 9A and it was labeled Room 8. Jonathan fainted when he saw the dragon. Some builders put Room 8 back and fixed it… And Room 9A of course!

A window on the world

Today the builders cut a hole in the wall of Room 8 and installed a new window. This will give us more light and visibility in the cloakroom and allow us to use it as another work space.

Temporarily Out

We have now moved to Room 9A, just across the corridor.  It should take about two weeks while Room 8 gets renovated. We will post some photos as the renovation is underway.

This is what our empty class looks like now.  We can't wait until it's finished.
