Hi. My name is Goldilocks. Remember me? I am the girl who ran out of your window in your house.

I am very sorry for sitting on your chairs and breaking Little Bear’s chair. My father said that he’s going to buy little bear a new comfortable and fancier chair.

I am extremely sorry for tasting your porridge and eating all of little bear’s porridge. My mother said you can come for dinner on Saturday. We are having porridge with honey. My mother is very angry with me. 

My mother said that she is going to come over and iron your bed sheets this Wednesday. My father said that you can have a sleep over tomorrow. I am very, very sorry for what I did in your house!

The Apple Treehouse

Once upon a time there lived a fat, kind king who liked playing with his kind children. He built a treehouse for the kids to play in. The treehouse was made in a sweet apple tree.

The Queen was back at the castle demanding apples.The King and the princess went to pick apples for her. Then they got stuck because in the treehouse the door locked behind them when they went inside.

The Princess had her phone with her. She rung the smartest scientist in the whole kingdom. He came with his flying potion but it did not work, so he flew back to his secret lab and got the world chain of keys. It had so many keys. He finally found the treehouse key and unlocked the door. They were happy.

They lived happily ever after!

Swimming Carnival

Middle School Swimming Sports

At Sunnyhills School there is a pool which is where our swimming carnival was. We started to line up. I could see my Mum waving. They called out my group. I walked anxiously to the pool. I swam as fast as I could and I won! Then we waited until our second swim. It was backstroke. I  came third. I felt happy with myself!

I am goldilocks, remember me? I’m the girl that came and was a pain in the butt! I am very sorry I jumped on your chairs and broke baby bear’s chair. Mum told me we had to go get a new one. She was very angry.

I am very sorry I had a taste of all your porridge and ate up all of little bears porridge. Dad told me that you guys could come over for a BBQ tomorrow night. Dad was very angry!

I am very sorry I crumpled all your sheets. Also sorry I tried your beds and messed up little bear’s with my muddy boots. Sorry I slept in it. Mum said I had to come over to yours and iron all your sheets and buy new bed covers for little bear. Also make your beds all nice. Mum was mad!

We visited the Auckland Central Library.  We liked the design of the children's area, which was based on a Taniwha shape. It had cool seating and interesting spaces to sit and read.

Sophia's Dream

Once I had a dream that I went to London when it was winter. I was a professional ice skater. 

I was going into the Olympics for New Zealand, but that was a few days away so I went to find a lake that was frozen! I practiced every day until the big day! I dressed beautifully and I did my hair. When I walked on the ice I bowed to the crowd and then I went into the middle to start. Then I waited for the music. 

The music started. I was so excited, I did jumps and spins and I loved it. After my dance I waited for my scores which were very high so I was pleased. They announced the third, second and first. I didn’t come third, I didn’t come second, I came first. I was jumping up and down because I won!

Timothy's 100 Word Challenge

100 word challenge!

In the holidays, my dad and I went to watch the Lego Movie. I was so excited because I love lego and saw the trailer. The trailer was awesome! When we went to get our ice-cream, popcorn and coke, I saw Sven, a reindeer from Frozen! Then we got our tickets and took our seats. When the movie started I wore my 3D glasses. It was like I could touch the screen! Afterwards, I really wanted to go home and build a city myself! Then we had  Mcdonald’s for lunch. I had an awesome time with Dad!

1. Get 5 or more people to play

2. Find a large field.

3. Choose 1 or 2 taggers - it depends how many people are playing.

4. The people that are not the taggers (they are called the fish) stand on a line.

5. The taggers stand in the middle of the field.

6.The taggers shout, “Swim, swim across my sea if you dare” then all the fish run to the other side of the field without getting tagged.

7.If they get tagged they stay on the same spot and try to tag the fish.

Cats

Types of Cats

There are more than 100 species of cats. Tabby are the main cat that people have. There are 4 main types of cat Wild, Domestic, Feral and Stray. Did you know that Cheetahs are the only Wild cat that can purr? There are Siamese, Burmese, Tabby and Persian cats.

Body of Cats

Cats have 3 different types of teeth. Cats have long slim tails for running or balancing. They also have retractable claws. If a cat has a wet nose it’s very healthy. It’s coat is warm so it doesn’t get cold. But some cats don’t have any fur but they’re warm blooded so they keep warm. Some cats even have spots for camouflaging themselves.

What Cats do

Cats love to play with you and will play with toys. They defend their territory from other cats and animals. They are very good climbers and climb up high to get birds. They hunt birds, small mammals and Insects. They clean themselves by licking their paw and rubbing it on themselves. Cats don’t like water!

What cats eat/drink

Some cats have kittens. The kittens drink their mother's milk. They were worshiped by the ancient Egyptians people.

Ella's Instructions of how to play Octopus

Octopus

You will need

People, large space

3 or more players

This is how you play

Choose 1 or 2 players to be the taggers. The people on the other side are called fish.

The octopus (who is the tagger) needs to say “swim swim if you dare” then all the fish need to try and get to the other side of the field.

If a fish gets tagged, they need to stop where they are and try to tag the other people.  They are allowed to move their arms and legs. But they have to stay on the same spot.

To be the winner you have to be the last fish left.

Tim's imaginative story

Chima

Thousands of years ago there was a magical land called Chima. There were all kinds of animals. There were Lions, Bears, Rhinos, Gorillas, Crocodiles, Wolves, Ravens, Eagles, Scorpions, Spiders and Bats.

One day, Mount Cavora rose up out of the ground. Rivers turned into CHI water. All the animals drank the CHI water. All except one from each tribe. They are called Legend Beasts. They will come in Chima’s hour of need.

One day, the Scorpions, Spiders and Bats thought they should have all the CHI to themselves. Big battles erupted. The tribes built new vehicles. The Scorpion King imprisoned the Legend Beasts so the CHI has run dry in the Lion CHI Temple. Who knows what lies ahead…
